March 2, 2013

The regular meeting of the Van Wert Amateur Radio Club was called to order by the Vice President Dave Taylor at 8:00 pm local time on March 2, 2013, with 10 voting members and 1 associate member present. The minutes from the February 16^th, 2013 meeting was read and approved with corrections. �

The Treasurer reported a cash balance on hand. �Motion to accept the report by Larry Swaney, 2^nd by Duane Poling. �Motion passed and report filed for audit.

COMMITTEE / OFFICERS REPORTS:

None

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

President: Informed the club that Rick McCoy, EMA Director will hold a �severe weather awareness and spotter course� on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Marsh Foundation Auditorium. Time is 7:00 pm � 9:00 pm.

OLD BUSINESS:�

Michelle Thomas: Reported that spring banquet was being finalized. It will be held at the American Legion on May 4^th. The entertainment will be on weather folklore.

NEW BUSINESS:

Dave Freels advised that the computer used for digital communications has failed. It may need to be replaced. Will look into replacing the mother board.
